Is there a way to get a second external IP? Has anyone tried that - how much does this cost?

there is no possibility to get a second external ip,
kabel deutschland only supports one external, which u will get on DHCP

Actually there is a way, but you need two cablemodems with two contracts between kabeldeutschland and you. Then you got 2 different IPs with two different connections.
